Flower Essence Therapy

Flowers are nature's gift to us. Who hasn't felt uplifted walking in a garden or a room where flowers are displayed? Flower essences offer this gift at a subtle vibrational level. Essences are made by floating flowers, at their peak of bloom, in a bowl of pure water and placing them in sunlight. Their positive healing patterns are released into the water. This 'mother' essence is preserved and stabilized in either brandy or vinegar.

Scientists have long known that everything has a distinct vibration. So too do all the different aspects of our body. When anything is causing disease or disharmony in our system at the physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual level the result is a reduced vibration. Flower essences reintroduce the true vibration. This vibration is called resonance. A simple demonstration of resonance is to take two tuning forks of the same pitch. By striking one and holding it near the second the second can be made to vibrate. By taking a flower essence we benefit from the healing resonance of the flower itself.

Development of Flower Essence Therapy

Flower essences as we know them today were developed by the English M.D., Edward Bach, in the 1930s. He is recognized as a pioneer in the discovery of the way stress and emotions affect illness. The Bach essences are the best known and most widely distributed. Thanks to his research there are now thousands of different essences available from all over the world to aid us on our journey to health and spiritual growth.

Flower essences are not intended to replace or be a substitute for medical or psychotherapeutic care. They are intended to complement and enhance a well-balanced health program.
